Dr. Fatai Oluyadi

Dr Fatai Olabanji Oluyadi  was born on 9th March 1954.

He Attended Ansar  -Ud  -Deen Primary School  Ijebu –Ode 1960-66  and

Ijebu Muslim College Ijebu-Ode 1967-71 

After obtaining B.sc Physiology at the University of Ibadan in 1977 he proceeded to the University of Calabar where he graduated among the pioneer medical doctors of the university with an MBBS degree in 1983.

He had his internship at the General Hospital Ijebu-Ode in 1983 and had  4 years general surgery experience in the same hospital from 1984-1988.

His training for the fellowship programme in ophthalmology was at the University College Hospital Ibadan which culminated in the award of the

  • Fellowship of the Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (FMCOph) in 1994
  • Fellowship of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS) in 1994.

He has conducted  and participated in numerous ophthalmic publications and presentations.

He has also conducted numerous surgical  eye expeditions for Eye Foundation Eye-care Team Initiative in collaboration with numerous State Governments in Nigeria and Ghana,  Rotary International District 9110 and Lions International District 404.

He was Consultant Ophthalmologist at the

  • General Hospital  Ijebu-ode and Abeokuta,  1993-2000.
  • St Mary’s Catholic Hospital Ago-iwoye  1993-1995.
  • Eye foundation hospitals 1998-till date.

He had a training programme on Cornea and Keratoprosthesis at the Daljit Singh Eye hospital Amristar India and presently works as an Anterior Segment and Cornea Specialist and also as an Ophthalmic Tutor at Eye foundation Hospitals Nigeria.

He is  the Group Medical Director of  Eye Foundation Hospitals.

He is a member of

  • Rotary international.
  • Surgical Eye Expeditions (SEE) -  International Volunteer  Eye Surgeons Group.
  • Ophthalmological Society Of Nigeria.
  • American Academy of Ophthalmologists.

He is happily married with Children
