FOR PATIENT DURING SURGERY
- In theatre patient will be assisted to
lie on his or her back
- The affected eye is sterilly cleaned
before commencement of surgery
- Local anaesthesia is instilled in the
eye topically to reduce pains
- The affected eye is covered with a
sterile eye drape with eye drain bag. The eye drain bag collects the fluid
- The affected eye is anaesthesised
locally in a sterile condition (subtenon) before surgery is commenced.
- Vital signs monitored during surgery.
